Two things people always underestimate about holiday lighting in Winnipeg: how early it has to go up, and how unpleasant it is to take down.
Install season here is October and early November — while it is still safe to be on a ladder or a roof, and before clips and fixings are going onto frozen surfaces. Nobody has to switch anything on in October; but a display that gets installed in a December cold snap is either a bad display or a genuinely dangerous afternoon.
The rest of the year is quieter work with the same logic: containers planted for the light they actually get, summer colour that holds through a hot dry August, and a fall changeover so the front of the house does not spend six weeks looking finished-with.

The décor year
Most clients take all four. Some take only the holiday install. It is the same crew either way.
Planters designed for each container’s light and exposure, planted on site, and set out once the frost risk has genuinely passed.
Watering, feeding and deadheading through the season, so the front planters still look intentional in the last week of August.
Fall arrangements, grasses and displays that hold through cold nights — instead of a spent summer planter sitting there until November.
Holiday lighting installed in October, winter arrangements in the containers, and takedown in the new year.
Planters & displays
Containers are the one element you can change every season without touching the landscape — which makes them the highest-return décor on any property.
Not a standard recipe repeated around the property. Sun, shade, wind exposure and the colour of the house all decide what goes in a given pot — and a planter by a west-facing garage door needs entirely different material from one under a covered porch.
Commercial-grade product, fitted to the roofline and the architecture rather than draped at it, on timers so it runs itself. Clips sized to the surface, runs planned so no cord is visible from the street, and power sorted before the first cold snap.
What “done for you” actually means
The value here is not the product. It is that every one of these tasks lands in a week you are already busy.
Roof and gutter work in falling temperatures is the single most dangerous hour a homeowner spends outdoors all year. We are insured and equipped for it.
Containers in a hot prairie August need water almost daily. That is the reason most front planters look tired by the middle of the season.
Frozen clips, brittle cable and a ladder on ice. It gets postponed into March on a lot of houses — which everyone on the street notices.
Product stored properly between seasons instead of tangled in a bin in the garage, which is where most of the annual replacement cost comes from.
Décor can be booked on its own. It does run better alongside a care plan, simply because the crew is already at the property every week to water, deadhead and swap things out.

October and early November, while it is still safe and comfortable to work at height and before fixings are going onto frozen surfaces. You do not have to turn it on then — installing early is simply the only sensible way to do it in this climate.
Yes. Takedown in the new year is part of the service, and we can store the product between seasons so it is not taking up your garage or getting crushed in a bin — which is where most of the annual replacement cost comes from.
Both models exist and we will walk you through which suits your property. The more important point is that the product is commercial grade: consumer strings rated for a mild climate do not survive a Manitoba winter on a roofline.
Yes. Planters are designed for your specific containers and light conditions, planted on site, maintained through the season, and changed out for fall and winter arrangements.
No, it can be booked on its own. It works better with one because the crew is already on site weekly to water, deadhead and swap displays — but plenty of clients take décor by itself.
