Why Choose Lawn ‘N’ Order for Landscaping in Winnipeg
Built for Manitoba’s Climate
30+ years landscaping in Winnipeg means we know exactly what works in Manitoba’s extreme climate. Every base, footing, and plant choice is built to handle -40°C winters, hot summers, and the freeze-thaw cycles that crack work built for milder markets.
One Team, Start to Finish
Unlike companies that rely on subcontractors, we handle everything in-house — design, construction, and year-round maintenance. The people who design your project are the same ones who build and maintain it, so nothing gets lost between crews.
Quality That Lasts Decades
We use premium materials and proven techniques, with no shortcuts and no compromises. From the granular base you never see to the finishing details you do, it’s all built to last decades — not just one season.

Landscaping Across Winnipeg & Surrounding Area
Professional landscaping services throughout the Greater Winnipeg Area, within a 100km radius of our Sturgeon Road yard
From our yard on Sturgeon Road, we design, build, and maintain landscapes across every corner of Winnipeg. In the southwest — Tuxedo, River Heights, Charleswood, and Fort Garry — much of our work is full backyard transformations, patios, and pools. Across the southeast in St. Vital and St. Boniface, and through west Winnipeg neighbourhoods like St. James and Headingley, we handle everything from retaining walls and fencing to year-round maintenance.
We also serve Downtown, the West End and Osborne Village, and the northeast communities of Transcona, East Kildonan, and the North End. Beyond the city, our crews travel up to 100km out to surrounding Manitoba communities for larger design-build projects. Wherever you are, the work is built for the same local conditions — Red River clay, a four-foot frost line, and our short build season.

Straight answers on cost, timing, and what actually holds up in our climate.
How much does landscaping cost in Winnipeg?
It depends on scope. Smaller projects run a few thousand dollars, while a full custom backyard — patio, retaining wall, outdoor kitchen, water feature, or pool — typically runs from the tens of thousands into $150,000+. Pricing comes down to materials, site prep, and the drainage and base work our clay soil and four-foot frost line require. For real, category-by-category numbers, see our 2026 Winnipeg landscaping cost guide, or get an instant range from our free cost calculator.
Do you design, build, and maintain — or just one?
All three, in-house. We design your landscape with detailed plans and 3D renderings, build it, and then maintain it year-round, right through to snow clearing in winter. The same team that draws your plan installs and looks after it, so nothing gets lost between subcontractors — which matters most on larger custom projects with a lot of moving parts.
Can you build a complete outdoor living space — kitchen, pool, water feature?
Yes — this is where we do our best work. We design and build complete custom outdoor living spaces, integrating outdoor kitchens and fire features, inground pools, water features, and landscape lighting into one cohesive backyard rather than a set of disconnected projects. Designing it as a whole is what makes a high-end space feel effortless instead of pieced together.
Will my patio, wall, or pool survive Manitoba winters?
It will if it’s built right. The biggest factor in Winnipeg is what’s underneath — a deep, properly compacted granular base sized for our four-foot frost depth, plus real drainage. That’s the difference between hardscaping that stays flat for decades and work that heaves or cracks after two seasons. We build every base, footing, and feature for Manitoba’s freeze-thaw cycles, not for a milder climate’s standards.
When should I book my project?
Winnipeg’s build season is short — roughly mid-May through September. The best design and install slots fill up fast, so the earlier you start, the better. We recommend beginning design conversations over the winter or early spring so your project is shovel-ready when the ground thaws. Larger custom builds especially benefit from planning a season ahead.
What areas of Winnipeg do you serve?
We serve all of Winnipeg — from Tuxedo, River Heights, and Charleswood in the southwest to St. Vital, St. Boniface, Transcona, and the North End — plus surrounding Manitoba communities within about 100km for larger design-build projects. Snow removal primarily serves West Winnipeg. Not sure if you’re covered? Call us at (431) 816-1387 to confirm.
